Christal Tucker has dedicated her work to helping the vulnerable and underserved populations since she began her journey in social work. She believes in providing an empathetic, compassionate, and safe environment for people to work toward healing. Christal has worked with individuals struggling with substance misuse, adults with mental incapacities under guardianship, community mental health, director of case management services, CPS home visitor
placement specialist, group therapy facilitator, and in an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Christal specializes in working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and
trauma recovery such as PTSD and inner child healing. Her passion and focus have been in helping clients heal from various traumas that have affected their daily lives.
Christal received her Associates in social work from El Paso Community College. During her time there, she took part in student government and was instrumental in helping establish a food pantry on campus for students. She went on to receive her Bachelors from New Mexico State University and graduated with honors. During her time there, she was in the school social work organization advocating for students and for those in the community. She ranked in to Advanced Standing and received her Masters in social work from New Mexico State University and completed her internship year as a therapist in a community mental health agency in the midst of a mass shooting in her community as well as COVID. Christal enjoys watching shows or movies with suspense, cooking, making people laugh, and singing passionately even if it is out of tune and off key.
