Mental Health Counseling
Celina is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a trauma therapist who enjoys working with teens ages 15+, adults, and veterans. She prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and strives to create an environment where individuals can build trust, feel safe, and even laugh. Celina assists clients in developing the skill of insight, self-awareness, and self-introspection. These skills are helpful in trauma work as they help the client gain context into their own lived experience.
Because trauma shows up differently for everyone, Celina collaborates with her clients to find the treatment that best fits their needs. She works with clients to help them discover what has happened to them to find the root of their discomfort and decrease distressing symptoms.
Celina uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in tandem with coping strategies and other evidence-based approaches to accomplish the clients’ goals. She continues to build upon her knowledge and is a forever learner who loves adding new techniques, approaches, and perspectives into her toolbox. You’ll find her deep in podcasts or audio books and most likely with a cafecito in her hand.
