Carlos is a licensed master social worker who studied at the University of Texas at Austin at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. His experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings with adult and adolescent populations has helped inform his systems-based approach to therapy. This approach views behaviors not in isolation but as part of a system of factors where solutions require a holistic approach.

Having experience in CBT, DBT, MI, and SFBT, Carlos has worked with individuals facing various mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and other behavioral challenges. Coming from two immigrant parents and having been a first-generation college student, Carlos hopes to utilize his lived experiences and knowledge in Spanish and English to help others navigate and overcome challenges in their own lives, with an added interest in bridging cultural gaps as a bilingual mental health provider.

Carlos has been known throughout his life for his calming and welcoming presence that exudes safety and garners trust. Outside of work, you may find Carlos embracing his other passions, such as rock climbing, running, disc golf, or lounging around with his three feline friends.
