Katie is a compassionate mental health counselor dedicated to fostering a client-centered therapeutic relationship grounded in authenticity, empathy, and warmth. She strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel empowered to explore their experiences, and embrace healing. She specializes in working with adolescents and teens who have experienced trauma, helping them navigate life’s challenges while fostering resilience and healing.

Katie’s therapeutic approach integrates expressive arts, Gestalt interventions, and Strength-Based Therapy to create a supportive, engaging, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore, express themselves authentically, and reveal their strengths. She is committed to meeting each client where they are, honoring their unique experiences, and providing culturally responsive, individualized care that fosters healing, self-awareness, and personal growth. Katie recognizes that lasting growth happens both in and outside of therapy. She values caregivers as essential partners in the therapeutic process, working collaboratively with families to strengthen relationships, reinforce therapeutic skills, and promote continued healing at home and in everyday life.

Katie’s counseling experience includes providing mental health services as a counseling intern at Texas Baptist Children’s Home. In this role, she worked with adolescents, teens, and mothers who had experienced domestic violence, supporting them throughout their healing and recovery journeys. Katie fostered trusting therapeutic relationships with the families residing at the home and co-facilitated counseling groups for young adults and mothers, creating a supportive environment that encouraged connection, growth, and resilience.

Out of the counseling session, Katie spends her time connecting with friends and family. She also enjoys reading books and baking desserts. Katie looks forward to partnering with you as you build resilience, discover your strengths, and work toward meaningful healing.
