OUR LADY OF THE LAKE UNIVERSITY
Marriage and Family Counseling
Chris practices under the belief that people, whether as individuals, families, or couples, are more complex and capable than the stories we tell ourselves would lead us to believe. Chris utilizes methods including Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to assist clients in redefining their understanding of personal strengths and abilities whilst overcoming challenges such as anxiety, depression, gender dysphoria, trauma, and ADHD. Chris has special experience working with individuals and families navigating and experiencing neurodiversity within a ‘typical’ world. To say Chris creates a calm space for this work is an understatement – his calming presence communicates care, safety and consistency.
Chris has worked with couples and families dealing with trauma and various crises since 2018 and has assisted clients through a combination of therapeutic interventions and genuine interpersonal connection, working collaboratively towards their goals. Chris will be completing EMDR training this year in order to continue adding tools to assist clients on their journeys towards healing and leading fulfilling lives and relationships.
